Ascendas REIT Announces Appointment Of New Non-Executive Independent Director
September 1, 2021 – Ascendas REIT announced that it has appointed Ms Ong Lee Keang Maureen, 67, as a non-executive independent director of the board.
The REIT said the Board of Ascendas Funds Management (S) Limited (AFM) has appointed Ms Ong Lee Keang Maureen as a Director of AFM, taking into consideration the current board size and composition, including the diversity of skills, experience, gender and knowledge.
“Based on her qualifications and experience, the Board is confident that Ms Ong would be able to contribute to the deliberations of the Board of AFM,” the REIT said.
Ong was formerly the Non-Executive Non-Independent Director (2009 to 2012) and a member of the Audit Committee (2010 to 2012) of Malaysia Smelting Corporation Berhad listed on Bursa Malaysia and Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited.
