May 27, 2023 – Abacus Property Group has proposed a de-stapling to create a new Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) listed self-storage REIT to be known as Abacus Storage King (ASK). Abacus will remain listed on the ASX under a new ticker code, and be known as Abacus Group, according to a stock exchange filing,
The listed trust’s portfolio is worth A$3 billion as of April 30, 2023, and it is expected to be listed in August 2023. Abacus Group intends to hold 19.9% of ASK units.
